| #1 | Just been on the new coach qualification upgrade course with the LTA and it was a huge improvement on their old dca, looks like someone has finally realised that it might be an idea to train coaches in the modern game rather than from the fred perry era.
only gripe - the exhorbitant costs of lta training. when you remind yourself that they are the governing body, get millions from the government, wimbie, sponsors, and they tell us we are the important people in tennis, how can they justify the charges they are making???

Have u seen the petchey article in the times today? he states that the LTA are spending less on coach ed now than they have been in the past - explains why the fees are so high! |

A standard hourly rate is about £15. Can you not make up the cost of the upgrade course quite quickly? |
